back in the studio

We were supposed to have this session outside, but the morning of the session it was 33 degrees so we opted indoors instead.  The kids didn't seem to mind:

Two year old boys aren't always a good fit in the studio.  His mom told me he would be fine and she was right.  He was a perfect model, he stood there and was so cute the whole time.

neither rain nor snow...

The post office's motto is something along those lines.  What, you didn't know it applies to photographers?  Well to be honest, there was no snow.  But it did rain and we didn't let it stop us from venturing out and capturing a little family love.

such sweet sisters

I loved watching these two sisters in my studio.   The big sister was so tender and sweet with her younger sister.  

And could her sister be any cuter?  

Watching them together I couldn't help wishing my own daughter had a sister.  Maybe that's because I have three sisters of my own and know how great sisters can be.  Or maybe it is the byproduct of being a photographer and loving the images that I capture like this:

These darling sisters even braved the cold weather with shorts sleeves.  I think they were having too much fun to notice : )

a little cowboy attitude

Something you should know about me:  I have a weakness for cowboys.  I can't help it, it must be the Texan in me, but I love a man in boots and a hat on a horse. Something you may have heard me say before:  I love two year old boys.  Having had two of my own, I find them the most fascinating creatures.  So combine the two and here is what you might get:

I have been photographing this little guy since he was three months old and he just gets cuter every time!

the year of the twins

I can't believe how many sets of twins I have enjoyed photographing this year.  These two 5 month old sisters were no exception.  Their personalities were as different as night and day, but they were both so sweet, and beautiful and I love the expressions from mom and dad.

This family was a joy to photograph.  I have said many times you can't photoshop feeling into an image and this family needed no help- the closeness and love was all theirs.

but this little guy actually had a great time spending the morning with his parents and grandparents.
